Found this poem after a friend of mine had died, I don't know who wrote it but I like it a lot.
Years of friendship never failing
brings forth of what are now memories
the sun has finally set on our trails of dust
hours seemed to pass like seconds
dusk never came as far as I knew
maybe we missed it climbing that hill
I wonder if we reached the top before night fell
in the darkness you left me without warning
climbing another hill I wasn't supposed to follow.

So I found a "Sentence Starter" story I wrote in probably tenth or eleventh grade. I remember getting glares for this............ A piercing scream broke the stillness of the night wrenching me from my sleep. Grumbling, and muttering about "Someone's gonna get it, for waking me up this early in the morning." I put on my shoes and stepped outside the tent. The wind was blowing and I ran back inside my tent and put on another sweatshirt, pulling the hood over my head, I walked toward my friend's tent. Standing outside the tent, I crouched down and yelled, "Kid, are you okay? Come on, kid ,if you are meaning this as a joke you are going to get it." When she still didn't answer I walked toward her door tripping over the tent stakes, "Stupid, idiotic stakes." I turned the corner and halted in my tracks the door was open and flapping in the wind. Pulling out my flashlight I looked inside-she was not there. I got back up and headed toward my tent just to make sure I had not missed her on the way back-she was not in my tet. I shrugged my shoulders and headed in the direction of the outhouses and her car. I pulled on the door to the outhouse but it was locked, then I noticed that there was a weird form in my car. I walked toward it and shining my light at it, saw that it was her. I opened the door and kneeled down, she as crying. I frowned,"Was that scream yours?" She nodded. "Well, what happened?" "I was listening to my music and taking care of my nails and I-I broke one," she started balling again, and showed me her hand. I started laughing, "You better go to bed." I walked off toward my tent , crawled in my sleeping bag and went back to sleep.

Is it just me or do most authors never allow their characters to get sick unless its some really bad sickness (like Lauren (?) McDaniel usually her characters have cancer or something like that). What is up with that, it would be nice, especially right now to be in a world were you aren't sick, but then again you would rarely ever have an excuse to call in to work. HMM..........

I know most people HATE doing their checkbook but I actually find it really relaxing. The thing I hate is when you have a steady bill that is always the same and they don't let you pay in advance, now that is what I CAN'T stand. Bought a new game to day so I really must go play it, okay I really don't have to it is just that I REALLY want to. Bye!
