So I found a "Sentence Starter" story I wrote in probably tenth or eleventh grade. I remember getting glares for this............
A
piercing scream broke the stillness of the night wrenching me from my sleep. Grumbling, and muttering about "
Someone's gonna get it, for waking me up this early in the morning." I put on my shoes and stepped outside the tent. The wind was blowing and I ran back inside my tent and put on another sweatshirt, pulling the hood over my head, I walked toward my friend's tent.
Standing outside the tent, I crouched down and yelled, "Kid, are you okay? Come on, kid ,if you are meaning this as a joke you are going to get it." When she still didn't answer I walked toward her door tripping over the tent stakes, "Stupid, idiotic stakes."
I turned the corner and halted in my tracks the door was open and flapping in the wind. Pulling out my flashlight I looked inside-she was not there. I got back up and headed toward my tent just to make sure I had not missed her on the way back-she was not in my tet. I shrugged my shoulders and headed in the direction of the outhouses and her car. I pulled on the door to the outhouse but it was locked, then I noticed that there was a weird form in my car.
I walked toward it and shining my light at it, saw that it was her. I opened the door and kneeled down, she as crying. I frowned,"Was that scream yours?" She nodded. "Well, what happened?"
"I was listening to my music and taking care of my nails and I-I broke one," she started balling again, and showed me her hand.
I started laughing, "You better go to bed." I walked off toward my tent , crawled in my sleeping bag and went back to sleep.
